Vintage 18K Gold Purple Sapphire Cocktail Ring, 60s/70s
In this ring we find a perfect and harmonious combination between the two elements that compose it, namely the central stone and the setting.
Speaking of the first, at first glance one can certainly think that it is an amethyst, but in reality we are dealing with a wonderful synthetic purple sapphire, which stands out for this intense purple that fills it completely.
The stone is so undoubtedly beautiful and very interesting, both to wear and to tell the viewer about the ring, but no less so is the surrounding setting: entirely in 18K yellow gold, the entire edge surrounding the purple sapphire has been modeled with a series of fretwork elements, which have given life to a floral-flavored side dish.
On the back the stone is completely open and the stem is simple and thin.
