The aesthetics and appearance of this ring suggest entirely that it is an antique ring, dating back to the second half of the 800th century.
Decorated with three stones, it can first and foremost be defined as a trilogy: at the center is a beautiful garnet, with an antique cut, a broad, smooth table, within which we can appreciate all the shades of dark red; on each side is a rose-cut diamond. 
18K yellow gold was chosen for the setting, which comprises almost the entire piece, except for the diamonds, which are surrounded by silver. Interestingly, the garnet on the back is completely closed, a goldsmith technique widely used at the time.
