Vintage 18K yellow gold ring with amethyst (approx. 1.70ct), 50s/60s

To create this ring, created between the 50s and 60s, a combination of a single stone and an original and enchanting side setting was opted for. 
At the center it is decorated with a beautiful amethyst, of a very intense purple with various lighter shades inside, and estimated at 1.70ct approx.
Of oval cut, it is held by six claws, perfectly divided between the top and bottom and with a rounded shape that outlines the contour of the stone in a very gentle way. 
And at this point we arrive at the frame that flanks the central decoration: the two shoulders are intertwined, as if the stem were a golden thread which is a single piece on the back but which, arriving at the front, had frayed until it reached this stupendous and elegant shape twisted, which gives the ring a slightly fairy-tale flavour.
Furthermore, an element not to be underestimated is the fact that once the ring is worn, thanks to these elements in addition to the two shoulders, the two sides of the finger will also be decorated. 
The frame is entirely in 18K yellow gold.
