Vintage 18K Gold Earrings with Synthetic Blue Topaz (approx. 12ctw), 60s

These vintage earrings, dating back to the 60s, absolutely stand out thanks to the particularly soft structure that characterize them in all respects and in every single aspect, given by the round shapes with which they were modeled. 
First of all, the entire setting was created by joining two yellow gold discs: the one placed higher up is smaller and its surface is completely smooth and free; part of it covers a section of the second disc, therefore positioned lower down and which turns out to be much larger. 
Most of its surface has also been left free to be able to set a stone, a round cut topaz with a very intense blue which therefore gives a touch of color to these earrings; the remaining surface of the gold disc thus acts as a setting for the stone, and the edge is slightly raised, giving an even greater sense of softness. 
The closure is a bolt and the earrings are entirely in 18K yellow gold.
