The ring I am proposing to you is one of those pieces that need to be told, that need to be said a lot to fully understand its wonder; and in this case there is really a lot to say.
I would say to start with its birth, which dates back more than 100 years: it is in fact an ancient ring, made in the early 900s.
For him, a shuttle shape was chosen, which is characterized by a very long central part vertically, with two curved sides and two pointed ends; a play of lines that creates the illusion, when the ring is worn, that the finger lengthens.
The setting is entirely in splendid, rich and luminous 18K yellow gold, which gives a great sense of softness and warmth. It has also been filled with details, which cover the entire surface of the ring and made through different types of workmanship: the beauty of the shoulders, decorated with Renaissance-style and engraved elements, cannot be missed; just as the back of the ring cannot be missed, entirely perforated and which almost seems to be made of lace.
But let's get to the heart of the ring, the central part: here we find a wonderful pink glass paste, cut in a navette shape and in the centre of which stands out the letter "S", which hides a meaning...
It actually stands for the French word “Souvenir”, or “Ricordo/ricordare” in Italian: in those years it was in fact common to wear these rings, which could have only the initial letter of the word or even the whole word, and not only in France, but also in Italy (although they can also be found in their Italian version with the word “Ricordo”).
And so this ring is transformed not only into a beautiful accessory to wear, but also into an object full of meaning, a symbol of something you don't want to forget, which can be worn with the awareness of the moment, the person or the place you want to remember and carry with you forever.
