Vintage 18K yellow gold ring with sapphires (central approx. 0.44ctw) and brilliant cut diamonds (approx. 0.70ctw), 60s/70s

This ring was made with a very particular structure, which will make many of you lose your head!
It was in fact built as if it were formed by two separate rings, which have the same shape and the same decoration and as if they were placed one on top of the other, able to fit perfectly together.
In reality it is a single ring, as you can well understand by looking at it from the side or from the back, but the illusion that is created, looking at it from the front and consequently also once worn, is truly perfect!

The two rings have been modeled with a very wavy shape, as if they were two waves moving and colliding. Tapered cut sapphires have been set inside each of them.
A feature I love is that there is no prong holding the stones, but rather a back structure which is invisible to the front, resulting in them not having any empty space between them and making it appear as though they are supporting each other instead.
But special attention should also be given to the central elements of each of the two bands: here we find in fact small daisies, which obviously have a sapphire as a central stone, for an estimated total of approx. brilliant cut, which arrive at an estimated total of approx. 0.44ct. 

We can say that this ring is a small work of art, which brings together many styles, shapes and cuts, and that something similar will be, if not impossible, extremely difficult to find.
