Antique ring in 18K gold and silver with diamonds (central approx. 0.30ctw), 30s
In this ancient ring, dating back to the 30s, the elements that certainly immediately catch the eye are its shape and its importance.
The ring is in fact characterized by an elongated frame which, once worn, covers a large part of the finger; it is very reminiscent of the shape of a shield, with the two upper and lower ends slightly pointed and with the two hollow sides.
The surface of the ring is completely covered with a series of decorations and inserts.
First of all, we find a decoration that follows the movement of the ring, creating a well-marked internal contour that divides a central and an outer decoration.
In the center we find a row of three brilliant cut diamonds, for an estimated total of 0.30ct and surrounded by others of huit-huit cut; another outer outline of huit-huit cut diamonds completes the decoration.
The front is made of silver, while the rest is 18K yellow gold (as are the shoulders, which are split in two).
