18K gold ring with cameo depicting the Archangel Michael, early 900s
This wonderful 18K gold ring with cameo is a very special jewel, since it is a converted jewel: the central part was born as a pin, which was then transformed into a ring, adding a stem, of the modern era.
The cameo is therefore ancient, dating back to the early twentieth century, and probably represents a very famous scene of the religious tradition: it is in fact the Archangel Michael who, winged and in armor with his sword raised above his head, defeats Lucifer, in his battle against the rebel angels.
The cameo is surrounded by a first setting and a second chain.
