Liberty ring in 14K gold with rosettes, 20s

The more I look at this ring the more I am convinced that it is one of the most beautiful jewels that will happen to me: it is ancient, decorated with rosette cut diamonds and the stem is simply something unique, which makes this ring truly magical and surreal.

This ring dates back to the Liberty period (20s) and is entirely made of 14K gold. 
In the center, the head is decorated with seven rosettes that surround a central one; the element that makes the ring unique are the two mermaids that embrace the central part of the ring and form the stem and shoulders. 
On each side we can in fact clearly see one of these magical creatures that in legends populate the seas, intent on leaning on the head of the ring, as if they were waiting for something on a rock in the middle of the sea. 
Each of the two mermaids is made in a truly impeccable way: their faces reveal serenity and expectation; the arms and the bust are perfectly modeled, as well as the hair, carved to perfection. Last but not least (also because it is what makes us understand that they are mermaids) are the two tails that eventually merge into one, giving a very particular movement to the whole ring.
