Vintage 18K gold ring with diamonds and sapphires, 40s / 50s
This rich ring dates back to the 40s / 50s, and is characterized by a very particular shape: it has in fact an elongated and curved shape, which allows the central part to protrude slightly.
As mentioned, the ring is richly decorated: in the center we find in fact a row of sapphires, of degrading size and all oval cut; sapphires are placed between two gold lines and between two outermost rows of other precious stones, in this case of rosette-cut diamonds.
The frame, entirely in 18K gold, is wonderfully worked and decorated: the entire external contour is in fact crossed by a series of floral and geometric designs, made through small and precise engravings; also the shoulders, divided in two and open, are embellished with a leaf, placed in the center.
