Vintage 14K gold necklace with amethyst and diamonds, 70s

This vintage necklace is made with a fine gold chain, to which a central pendant is directly welded, through the two curved elements that surround the pendant.
The latter is decorated with a central drop-cut amethyst and a beautiful dark purple; on each side the stone is flanked by two wave inserts, which are embellished with huit-huit cut diamonds.
The gold parts (both yellow and white) are made of 14K gold, and the necklace dates back to the 70s.
