Vintage 14K gold necklace with amethyst (c.7.80 ct) and diamonds (ct 0.08 ct), 60s / 70s
In this vintage necklace, what you understand immediately is the attention that has been put into wearing something very elegant by anyone who puts the jewel around their neck.
The necklace was made with a chain neither too thick nor too thin, to which a central and slightly pendant decoration was directly connected.
In the latter the amethyst stands out in an absolute way, the most important stone of all the jewel: drop cut (cut that I find perfect for creating a sense of refinement) and of about 7.80 ct, it presents the characteristic purple color for which the stone is famous; on each upper side we find two crescent-shaped inserts, each decorated with huit-huit cut diamonds, for a total of approx. 0.08ct.
The frame and chain are in 14K yellow gold and the necklace dates back to the 60s / 70s.
