Vintage necklace in 18K and 14K gold with cameo on blue agate and diamonds, 80s
The necklace that you have in front of your eyes was in fact made in the 80s by combining a cameo, an element of decidedly ancient origins and flavor, with a simple but elegant chain, decidedly more modern.
The cameo is the main decorative element, the clear and undisputed protagonist that immediately attracts attention.
It was made on a blue agate, and hence these fascinating nocturnal shades that we find throughout the design.
The latter represents a beautiful woman in profile, with wavy and gathered hair; she is wearing a soft dress, slightly dangling earrings and a necklace, probably of pearls; all framed by a delicate floral decoration.
The cameo is held by a thin but sturdy 14K yellow gold frame, which is surmounted by five diamonds, as if it were a woman's crown 👑
Moving on to the necklace, this is entirely in 18K yellow gold; very thin and smooth, it is perfect to be worn with this pendant, since, once worn, it supports it in the best possible way, acting as a necessary but refined and not excessively visible element (with such a cameo there is no need 😉 ).
The result is one of the most beautiful and refined jewels you can ever have and wear; it also represents the mastery, patience and dedication of those who made it.
