Antique platinum earrings with old cut diamonds (0.40ctw approx.) And huit-huit cut diamonds, 30s / 40s
This beautiful pair of drop earrings was probably made in a transitional period between the Art Deco years (more precisely the 30s) and the 40s.
In fact, we notice in these earrings shapes and lines that clearly refer to this magnificent period; in particular we find them in the upper section, or in the two more subtle elements that then connect to the closure: here we have rather clear and precise lines, typical of the period.
The lower section, on the other hand, presents a more delicate and worked round decoration, with softer lines and with a style that would therefore seem to be subsequent.
The earrings are entirely modeled in platinum, and two diamonds per earring decorate them; more precisely, the two largest diamonds are old cut and for an estimated total of 0.40ct 0.20ct approx. each), while the two smaller ones are huit-huit cut.
