Art Deco earrings in platinum with diamonds (approx. 1.80ctw), 30s
Imagine you are in New York in the late 20s and early 30s; you are at a party in an incredible mansion owned by a wealthy tycoon, whose name is Jay Gatsby; you are having fun and you are dressed * with an elegance never seen before.
Well, if all this had been the reality, it would have been likely that you were wearing a pair of earrings like these.
The more experienced * among you will have realized at this point that these earrings were made during the Art Deco period 🤩
And these jewels are in fact full of references to the stole: look at their shape, so precise, the lines so clear yet sinuous and elegant; look at the precision with which they were created, the symmetry and the general sense of beauty and refinement; in short, a masterpiece.
Each earring was made of platinum and covered with diamonds: the “central” diamonds (the largest) are old cut and for a total of approx. 1ct .; the side ones, on the other hand, are huit-huit cut and for a total of 0.80ct. The diamonds are like this for a total of 1.80ct approx.

The stone weights indicated in carats represent approximate weights, taken with the stones set, which can therefore vary slightly.
Given the age and the fact that they are handcrafted (and not mass-produced) jewels, our antique and vintage jewels are often not perfect and may show normal signs of surface wear and / or small imperfections, possibly present both on the parts in gold than on stones.
