Vintage 18K gold earrings with sapphires (approx. 1.2ctw) and diamonds (approx. 0.12ctw), 70s
What strikes me most about these small and delightful earrings is that, in their simplicity and shape, they are entirely decorated, from start to finish.
Starting from the beginning, to decorate mainly the lobe, we find a beautiful cabochon-cut sapphire, inserted in a yellow gold bezel, which is directly connected to a pair of brilliant-cut diamonds; the rest of the earrings are embellished with a twisted and slightly curved yellow gold frame.
The sapphires are for a total of 1.2ct, while the diamonds are for a total of 0.12ct.
The earrings are vintage, dating back to the 70s, and the frame is entirely in 18K yellow gold.
The closure is clip, so the earrings can also be worn by those who do not have pierced ears.
