14K gold ring with citrine quartz, 50s / 60s

This ring is a beautiful example of a slightly different solitaire: instead of a diamond we find a beautiful citrine quartz.
Even the cut of the stone makes the ring even more particular, since it has been cut with a square cut; also the setting in which it is inserted, slightly outside the band, obviously follows the clear and precise sides of the stone. 
All this results in a fantastic contrast compared to the rest of the ring, perfectly round and therefore soft lines. 

The ring is made of 14K yellow gold.
