Vintage 18K white gold diamond ring (0.29ctw approx.), 70s

This vintage ring, made in the 70s, is to be particularly appreciated for the perfect combination that we find between 1) particularity 2) beauty and 3) portability.

The reason for the first point can be easily understood simply by looking at the ring: here, in fact, the two parts that normally come together to form the circumference of the ring never meet, actually loving in two completely opposite directions and thus leaving one in the center. empty and clearly visible space.
This feature has also made it possible to give the ring a shape that is very reminiscent of the snake rings, very widespread precisely between the 60s and the 70s.

And so we come to the second point, because it is its frame, and consequently the way it has been decorated, that makes it beautiful.
The part that points down really looks like a snake's tail, and not just because of the movement, but also because of its decidedly pointed tip.
This whole section is covered with huit-huit cut diamonds, set directly inside it.
The second element is instead a little more abstract, even if it clearly takes some inspiration from the world of nature: on the highest point we find a beautiful diamond, brilliant cut and estimated at 0.20ct approx .; the stone is held by six jaws and is surrounded by an elegant outline of six diamonds, which give it great depth.
The decoration here continues with a pair of leaves, positioned on one side of the diamond and in turn illuminated by two huit-huit-cut diamonds.
A small flower is thus created, with its own stem (part of the stem) and two leaves.

Finally, the third point can be well understood once the ring is worn, since it is light on the finger, comfortable and pleasant to hold.
In addition, its design and shapes make it a ring to wear alone and on any occasion.
