Antique 18K gold and silver contrarier with rose cut ruby ​​and diamond, early 900s

This ring is a beautiful example of an antique contrarier, among other things wonderfully decorated, and dating back to the early 900s.
As in all contrariers, here too we find two main elements, formed by the two precisely opposite parts of the ring, which finally meet at its center.
They are both identical to each other, if not for one detail: the ends are decorated with two yellow gold circles and which contain a silver disc, one decorated with a synthetic ruby ​​and one with a rosette-cut diamond. To decorate the sides of the two discs we find a small and delicate flower. 
All the rest of the frame is in 18K yellow gold.
