Vintage contrarié ring in 14K gold with sapphire, ruby ​​and diamonds (0.12ctw approx.), 70s / 80s

This vintage ring is a beautiful example of contrarié, in this case very decorated and, above all, quite colorful. 
The two elements that form the ring and which do not meet in the center but continue in two opposite directions (precisely opposite), are both made in the same way: the two outermost parts, the tips, are decorated with a ruby ​​and a sapphire, both marquise cut; then we find an interwoven decoration made up of two elements, one of which is decorated with huit-huit cut diamonds and the other left smooth. 
The result is a ring characterized by a beautiful movement, colorful, playful and not at all boring or banal.
