Vintage 18K Yellow & White Gold Emerald & Diamond Shuttle Ring, 60s
This type of jewel is characterized by an elongated central section, curved edges and angular ends, but in this case the shuttle shape has small dimensions which, together with the thickness of the ring, make it perfect for everyday wear.
A marquise-cut emerald was chosen to decorate the center, which therefore fully recalls the shape of the ring. Surrounding it we find not one but two contours: the inner one has a white gold base, mostly worked to simulate the presence of diamonds and with two huit-huit cut diamonds, positioned one above and one below, to decorate the ends ; in the outermost contour we find instead emeralds, all round cut and set in such a way that they seem to float inside the ring, with a truly wonderful effect.
The setting is 18K gold and the ring dates from the 60s.
