Vintage 8K gold ring with purple iolite, 70s / 80s

This ring was made with only two elements, two materials that put together gave life to a literally magical jewel. 
Its frame is entirely in 8K yellow gold, and if the stem on the back is simple and smooth, the closer it gets to the center, the more decorated it becomes: the two shoulders have in fact been worked with floral and naturalistic elements, completely open. 
In the center they embrace an oval-cut iolite, characterized by a dark purple, which creates a fairytale contrast with the yellow of gold! 
The frame is in 8K yellow gold.
