Antique 18K gold bracelet with shell cameo, early 900s

This bracelet is without a doubt one of the most amazing pieces of jewelry I have ever seen. 
The idea that it was handcrafted by someone really blows me away. 
Here everything is perfect, every single detail taken care of down to the smallest detail; nothing is and can be left to chance, everything must be perfect. 

Made in the early 900s, the bracelet is first of all decorated with a truly amazing central cameo.
Oval in shape, it is the result of the engraving of a dark orange shell (almost tending towards brown), and depicts a scene that seems to have come out of an ancient sculpture or a Renaissance painting: we find a winged woman, perhaps a divinity, intent on flying and with legs bent backwards, with bare feet and part of the ankles clearly visible; however, the woman is not alone, since we can see two children with her, who are held tightly to her chest, in a loving gesture that expresses great sweetness. 
The woman is dressed in a tunic, with a very light fabric and which floats in the air like her. 
To underline is the way in which the two wings were made, with an attention to detail that makes it impossible to capture them all. 
To hold this "small" work of art we find a frame that further enhances the idea that it is a museum piece, it is so beautiful, worked and intricate. 
Finally, the last element (not least) that makes up this jewel is the band that wraps around the arm to be able to wear it: it is not made of a single thread or a "simple" piece of gold, but it is made of many chains, the result of as many rings that have been connected to each other. 
The result is a soft and light texture, but also refined and elegant, certainly different from the usual. 
To secure the bracelet well on the wrist there is an interlocking closure and also a safety chain.
