Vintage 8K yellow gold gypsy ring with synthetic ruby (approx. 0.15ct), 50s/60s
This ring is an example of what are called "gypsy rings".
Gypsy rings are rings in which the stones are set directly inside the ring, resulting in a jewel in which the setting and the decoration are one.
The result is an extremely wearable ring that is very comfortable to wear.
In this case we have a gypsy solitaire, decorated with an oval cut synthetic ruby, estimated at approx. 0.15ct. and arranged horizontally, so as to follow the course of the ring.
