Vintage Antique Style 18K Yellow Gold & Silver Emerald (Approx.0.80ctw) & Diamonds (Approx.0.36ctw) Ring, 60s
In fact, everything in this ring takes us back to those years, starting from the shape and type of gold processing, up to the materials used and their specifications.
First of all it must be said that the ring develops its structure vertically, with a very elongated frame and wavy edges.
The front is entirely covered with precious stones, with a row of three emeralds, all oval cut and with the central one slightly larger than the two on the sides, for an estimated total of approx. 0.80ct; the three green stones are inserted inside yellow gold bezels, which clearly highlight them and make them protrude slightly from the base. The rest of the surface, which creates the outline of the emeralds, is covered with diamonds, all rose cut and for an estimated total of approx. 0.36ct, which are set within a silver setting (just as was usual do in antique jewelry).
But our eye must go even beyond this beautiful front decoration, starting from the two shoulders, which have been decorated with incredible fretwork; and processes of this type can also be found throughout the contour that surrounds the central part of the ring, giving life to a continuous decoration.
