Vintage 18K yellow gold necklace with pendant heart-shaped decorations with red, orange, green and blue enamels, 70s

This vintage necklace, made in the 70s, is a jewel that undoubtedly leaves its mark!

Its link is composed of 21 bars, temples entirely in 18K yellow gold and with each end terminating in two small circles, so that they can be connected to each other through rings; this choice makes the necklace semi-rigid and therefore rather soft, very pleasant to wear. 
To decorate most of the bars (17 in total) we find small pendants, a group of 3 hearts positioned in the precise half of each of the bars; each heart has a base in 18K yellow gold, and the whole surface (front and back) is embellished with enamels, thus finding each trio formed by a blue heart, a red/orange and a green one.
It's really incredible to think that they were prepared like this, one by one, enamelled and finally connected to the necklace as many as FIFTY-ONE hearts.
