Vintage 9K Yellow Gold Opal Cocktail Ring (approx. 0.20ct), 60s
This splendid ring was made with a simple but undoubtedly elegant taste, with an aesthetic that strongly refers to a magical object with a Renaissance flavour, making it absolutely desirable.
These characteristics were made possible by the combination of the stone and the setting: the first is one of the most beautiful opals I have ever seen, crossed by a series of ribbons of many different colors, all very intense and clearly visible; of oval cabochon cut is estimated to 0.20ct approx.
Surrounding it we find an essential but very refined setting: as the first element we find a smooth frame that creates a beautiful thickness, while further outside a thin and perfect braided rope that goes all around the opal. The shank on the two shoulders is completely open and divided in two, so as not only to more securely support the central part but also to create a very pleasant aesthetic, especially once worn.
