Vintage "Gypsy" ring in 18K gold with sapphire and diamonds, 50s / 60s

This vintage ring is an example of what in English are called "gypsy rings": these rings are characterized by the fact that the stones are set directly inside the ring; therefore, since the stones are flush with the band of the ring, the result is a simpler but also extremely wearable and, we could say, casual jewel. 
This A category of rings was born in Victorian England, and were initially worn by men but, over time, women also began to appreciate these lines and shapes.
It is however easy to see, even with this ring, the particular wearability of the "gypsy rings" for any hand (whether male or female).

The ring that we propose today dates back to the 50s / 60s, is made entirely of 18K gold and is decorated, in the center, by a sapphire, and on the sides by two old mine cut diamonds; the stem has a central incision that runs almost the entire circumference.
